Encounters Project:

We are looking for people to interview for a project at the University of Winnipeg about relations between German-Canadians and Jewish-Canadians since the Second World War. Our main goal is to collect accounts from German and Jewish immigrants and their descendants about their personal experiences of daily life and their personal and professional relations with and views of each other. The interview tapes and other materials will be deposited at Canadian archives. Our project plans include publication of selected information in a variety of media including books, articles, and possibly the Internet. The project is intended for educational purposes, and not for profit. To participate, or for further information, call the Encounters Project toll-free at 1-866-232-6618 or e-mail to gcs@uwinnipeg.ca. Concerns if any should be direct to the project supervisor Dr. Alexander Freund at 1-204-786-9009 or at a.freund@uwinnipeg.ca. We are looking forward to hearing from you.
